We bought this lantern while we were heading to the camp...no electricity so a bright light is a must. the bonus about this great light is that it is bright enough to use when going across the lake at night, especially when docking at our landing! It just doesn't light up the little area that you are pointing at, it lights up that and so much more. If you are looking for a great light with a lot super long use time out of one battery at a super low price this is the light for you

This simple 6V lantern is one of my favorite flashlights. It's very durable, very inexpensive, and runs for ever on a 6V battery. Also worth noting is it's rather bright, and very bright for it's price range. Silly as it may seem, it's a really cool light. It looks really neat with all the little LED's in their own little reflectors. Everyone who looks at it has something to say like WOW, that's cool. I know that sounds stupid, but it's kinda fun having a cool flashlight when you are camping. PS I read the other review about the guy who used it for fishing, please note that the light is not waterproof. it is water resistant, and will be fine in the rain or if it falls into the water for a second, but it's not a dive light. What the other persone was talking about was using the light above water. It's a great light, with an amazing 40 hours runtime! You could use it for 5 hours a night for a full 7 night camping trip and still have battery power to spare! And it's like $15 bucks. Another no brainer, awesome light from Dorcy. Thanks Dorcy for making some great products!

I bought this light after I could not find my scuba diving light. I used this light to gig creeks for yellow Suckers, and Catfish. (BOTH LEGAL) Was I was suprised to say the least. This thing lit up the water better and brighter than "ANY" light I've ever used bar-none. My buddy used a Mag Light 4D flashlight and after side by side comparison his with bulb although bright, was yellowish. To put this in normal terms, even in good water his still made the water look somewhat muddy, while the LED Lantern was white. Nothing in the water went undetected!!!! I LOVE IT.
