200 Lumen LED Tactical Switch Flashlight

The 200 Lumen LED Tactical Switch Flashlight features a High Powered Cree® Solid State Diode – one of the brightest LEDs available in flashlights today! This light offers state of the art performance with an optimized parabolic reflector system that maximizes light output. The tactical switch design offers either a momentary “ON/OFF” or constant “ON” feature. Utilizing a push button for momentary or a twist for constant illumination. It’s also able to operate in extreme conditions at temperatures from more than 30 degrees below zero to over +130 Fahrenheit.

I purchased this light becuase of the "Tactical Tail Cap Switch" as state on the packaging. The problem I have is that I work in law enforcement and require light disipline. It is too easily bumped and a shot of light gets sent out when I don't need it. Also VERY hard to turn the tail cap to desired position with one hand (other hand is on my weapon). As for brightness, it's pretty dang bright.

The brightest flashlight I have ever owned. Easily puts out a powerful beam 200 feet away. Nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries last quite a long time. Extremely durable, except for the battery case. I would give it 5 stars if Dorcy would beef up the durability of the battery case.

Be aware that the Tail Cap tactical switch is momentary only. You must twist the barrel to turn the unit on. That said, its a very bright flashlight.

First I would like to thanks Mark from Dorcy's customer service! I give those folks over there 5 STARS!!! Dorcy 200 Lumen Review... Very bright output with considerable throw distance! Its center beam swallows both my Surefire E2L Outdoorsman and My 80 Lumen Surefire G2 at 3, 30, and 100 feet! It will give you over 1 hour of bright light with around the same output (with Lithium batteries)...and then slowly start to dim. But even after 2 hours and 10 minutes it still outshines my Surefires, just not by as much. My only con is the cheap battery terminal which is suspect as far as durability is concerned, which is why I give it a "Good" rating. Overall, if you can spare the current $47.99 price tag, this light is worth it!
