The 500 Lumen LED Spotlight uses a new battery saver technology that extends the life of the battery ensuring years of great performance. The spotlight gives 2 ½ hours of continuous use. The Battery saver circuit prevents the battery from being fully discharged which helps maintain battery capacity. Battery does not hold a charge. The charger port broke within a few weeks of use. The company will repair it, but only if I ship it back to them at a cost of about $10.

Received as a gift. Works great for my needs to follow by dogs at night on my fenced field. Battery holds a charge. Like any other lead-cid batteries, the longer it sits without being charged (such as warehouse) is detrimental to the battery once the voltage drops to a certain point. Battery is easily replaceable from here or other sites. Only negative is no lanyard for the wrist. Looking forward to a more powerful one in the next generation of lights.

No longer charges. I came by to see if there was an upgraded model but I guess not. Might have to buy a new battery if I can fix it.

The positive is that this light produces a really narrow and bright beam. Great for shining into the treeline. Problem is the battery won't hold a charge after a few days of sitting. Maybe I got one with a bad battery.

Love this light. Just got it for my birthday and it is amazing. I am impressed with both the beam and the run time. It lasts way longer than the 2.5 hours on the packaging

I bought two of these lights. Both of the lights do not hold charge. Would be a great light if it would keep working. Piece of junk and way overpriced.

Have had this for a while but it isn't holding a charge now. I just bought a new Stanley Fat Max 2000 lumen spotlight for this same price at Wallymart and it is crazy bright and smaller too!

Strongest light I have used to this day! I thought my 7 million candle power halogen spotlight was bright, this easily blows it away. I like that it has the same dimensions and battery configuration as a normal spotlight....That way replacing the 4.5 amp hour 6 volt battery later on will be easy (you can get those online for $10). The battery should last longer, because this has a under voltage protection circuit. Would definitely recommend this light to anyone!

Great light. I have a B&D halogen spotlight rated 580 lumens. This Dorcy provides comparable light but more than 5 times the battery life.
