I notice that some of the other comments about this light make the natural comparison to a Maglite, which makes total sense. This light blows away a 3-D cell incandecent Maglite, and is every bit as good or better than a 3-D cell led Mag, or anything of the other 3-D cell sized lights available in the same price range. The on/off switch is easy to opperate and offers a high/low feature, which is good for obvious reasons. One easily fixable issue is that the switch might accidently get pushed on in your bag or box during your travels. While it's nice that it's easy to switch on and off, (even for some of the women on my recent camping trip who had nice nails, and found it hard to opperate some flashlights), this may lead to accidental turn on if something pushes up against the switch in your bag. No worries this is very easily taken care of, and here is how. Simply turn the bottom tail cap (the part you unscrew to put the batteries in) one full turn, which is more than enough to keep it still well in place, but not tight enough for electrical contact to be made. Now even if the swith gets pushed on accidently in your bag, the light will not go on. Very expensive flashlights have this feature and call it a "lock out tail cap". It's just a nice way to ensure that when you go camping you don't get there and realize our light has been on in your bag for a few hours.

I always have liked the MAG 3D for its size and durability until i got this light for Christmas. I order 2 more for my dad and father in law. This light outshines the mag at least 2 to 1.
